2019 Choral Ideas Symposium


The inaugural Gondwana World Choral Festival in July 2019 will be an event like no other.

The greatest gathering of international choirs in Australia this century, the Festival brings together the world’s best young choristers, never-before heard in Australia, plus a jam-packed program of concerts, workshops, and open rehearsals.

Guest choirs include Boston Children’s Chorus, Estonian Television Girls’ Choir, Guangdong Experimental Middle School Choir, Inner Mongolia Youth Choir, La Cigale de Lyon, Nagoya Children’s Choir, Riga Cathedral Girls’ Choir, and the Toronto Children’s Chorus.

Teachers are invited to be a part of this unique event through our World Choral Festival NESA Professional Development.

Full- and half-festival registrations are available. Every festival weekday morning will be packed full of programs led by some of the country’s most knowledgeable and highly regarded music educators and conductors.

Experience a week of inspiring demonstrations, masterclasses, seminars, workshops, and concerts!

Delegate registration secures a premium seat to the opening and closing gala concerts at the iconic Sydney Opera House. PLUS enjoy up to four concerts daily at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, featuring the best young voices from around Australia and the world.

Completing all seven days of GWCF0007 contributes 22.5 hours of NESA Registered PD. Completing three days of GWCF0003 contributes 9 hours of NESA Registered PD.
